Fashion month comes to an end with Paris Fashion Week, leaving behind Copenhagen, New York, London, and Milan. Several of the greatest names in the business are expected to present collections at the glamorous nine-day finale. The week will end with a Louis Vuitton presentation, and major players in the fashion industry including Chanel, Giambatista Valli, Loewe, Hermes, Dior, and Miu Miu will also be showcasing. We’re very sure that this week will be amazing for the fashion industry, and here is our list of the shows that are particularly noteworthy this year.
Dior started things off with a line that honored Miss Dior, the brand’s 1967 debut ready-to-wear collection. Against the backdrop of Indian artist Shakuntala Kulkarni’s sculptures, Maria Grazia Chiuri’s most recent collection took inspiration from the 1960s, a time when fashion emerged from the atelier and took on a real-world role. The collection’s final pieces featured surface decorations, metallic tassels, and subtle crystal webbing, which were hallmarks of the Dior atelier. Notable styles included short skirts, nipped tailoring, and tabard-style shirts. The exquisite collection was imbued with an overall spirit of feminine empowerment.
